"My role will be to shoot, score and play aggressive on defense."

He was the first in arriving, but not the last. We have told a few minutes with Kyle Kuric after signing with Barcelona Lassa to know his firsts impressions.

Q: Kyle, tell us about how was your signing with Barcelona, who calls you, when, first conversations…

A: My agent called me and we were talking about possible options for the next year. He said Barcelona was serious but still needed some time. Just to be patient. He called me in late June said they were going to make an offer. When we reached an agreement, my agent (Guillermo Bermejo) called and told said congratulations! This is something I had worked very hard for and was a goal of ours when I started playing in Spain.

Q: Maybe this is the most challenge in your carreer. How do you front face this opportunity?

A: It will be a big challenge for me. But I’ve gotten better every year I’ve played and every year has been on a higher level. I’ve been forced to expand my game and develop other skills. I will face this opportunity like any other one in my life. I look forward to it and will use it to grow as a person and player, mentally and physically.

Q: Last year wasn’t a good year for Barcelona Lassa in Liga Endesa and Euroleague, do you think that Barcelona is ready to compete with big teams in Europe like Fenerbahce, Real Madrid, etc…?

A: I think we have a good team coming in. We will start working this preseason and come together as a team. I don’t see why we can’t compete with other teams and get back on track to how a Barcelona team plays.

Q: I would like to know if Pesic has spoken with you, and if he says to you what he expect that you give to the team, what is going to be your role,…

A: No I have not spoken with coach Pesic yet. But I’m a shooter/scorer. My role will be to shoot and score. And play aggressive on defense.
